my partner and i were very happy thinking that we would be together for ever,so instead of going to usa for 3 months i wanted to go for the summer infact as often as i could,
i have my own money i have lots qualifications,in social care drugs hiv,etc so of course i didnt think we would have a problem.
I went to the embassy i paid my visa, and was very excited,
then the man who interviewed me suddenly changed when i said i was gay,
you wont come back will you he said,of course i will i have a mum who is 90,and cant stay away to long,of course if i was marrying a man i could go, ha.
I felt sick as he stamped my passport refused visa,i knew then i couldnt even see my partner again as i couldnt even visit her,
i went home and cried, this was in april.i still havnt seen my partner.i miss her so much.
Just a thought mermaid, but driving across the border from Canada isn't usually too much of a problem. It's been a few months now so maybe you could try that route - if they knew that Canada was you 'main' destination they may be more likely to give you a temp visa - maybe worth a try...
